J & K at a Glance

Jammu and Kashmir (UT) constitutes the northern most extremity of India. Jammu and Kashmir is home to several valleys such as the Kashmir Valley, Tawi Valley, Chenab Valley, Poonch Valley, Sind Valley and Lidder Valley. Jammu and Kashmir (UT) consists of two regions- Jammu and the Kashmir valley, which consists of overall 20 districts. It ranks 1st in production of apple, walnut, almond and saffron in india. The UT also has 3 agro-climatic zones which makes it a good fit for use for agriculture business.

Its road and rail network expands at 4000 km and 320 km respectively. The UT is woking on Metro network of 48 km which is expected to be completed by 2025. J&K offers one of the most affordable land rates in India with having lease rent as low as Rs 32000 while maintainance charges are nil. The UT has the lowest 'Power Utility Rate' in India @ Rs 3.85/KW, which makes it best for starting a business.

Also UT has the land availablity lease upto 99 years for the business. It also has transparent online system for allotment of industrial land in just 75 days. Jammu is the only city in India having IIT, IIM and AIIMS. It also has Centre for Invention, Incubation and Training CIIIT setup in collaboration with industry for proper skill development of youth.

It is not a hidden fact that J&K is Known as Paradise on Earth for its eternal beauty. Along with it, it is having an excellent quality of life having average life expectancy of 74 years, more than average life expectancy of india, which is 69.6 years. It has ample water sources such as lakes, rivers and ground water. J&K also is a home for many tourist destinations like Gulmarg, Sonamrg, Bhaderwah, etc. Also known for its spiritual destinations like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Shri Amarnath, etc which attracts millions of tourists every year.
